This project includes pavement rehabilitation on Ridgeway Drive from Libal Street to East River Drive and East River Drive from LeBrun Street to Charles Street.  Pavement rehabilitation is the process of grinding the asphalt pavement surface and blending with the stone aggregate below, removing the top 4” of material and paving with new 4” of asphalt pavement.  

There will be spot curb and gutter repair and several concrete curb ramps.  Driveway impacts will be minimal unless the curb in front of the driveway is being replaced.  Curb and gutter replacement at driveways will result in an extended closure.  The contractor will knock on the door and/or provide a door hanger with notification prior to the closure.  Parking will be permitted on the street in this scenario.

In addition to the pavement rehabilitation, the water main will be relayed on Ridgeway Drive from Eau Claire Place to East River Drive.  For property owners in this area, and the adjacent cul de sacs, there will be periodic water shutoffs.  The contractor will communicate these by knocking on doors and/or leaving a door hanger notice.  From a traffic standpoint, Ridgeway will be closed to thru traffic with a detour established.  Access will be maintained in the area but reduced to one lane with flaggers.  Intersecting streets will be periodically closed during the day when excavation is occurring directly in front of the intersection. 

Finally, there will be a few spot storm sewer repairs completed on Ridgeway and East River Drive.
