All items listed below are NOT accepted in our normal garbage and recycling collection, NOT accepted at the Municipal Service Center large item/bulky drop off site and are NOT collected by the city during rubbish/bulky curbside collection weeks

Please note the following ways to properly dispose of these items: 

Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste must be disposed of at the Brown County Hazardous Material Recovery at 2561 S. Broadway, Green Bay (please call 920-492-4950 for current rates/hours).  Hazardous waste items include, but are not limited to: 

  • Corrosive - acids, bases, cleaning products
  • Flammable - paint, gasoline, paint thinners, solvents, motor oils, car chemicals
  • Poisonous/Toxic - pesticides, cleaning products, insecticides
  • Reactive - pool chemicals, aerosol cans, fire extinguishers
  • Electronics - cell phones, chargers, computers, printers, televisions (fees may apply)
  • Small Appliances - microwaves, dorm or miniature refrigerators, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, power tools, etc. (fees apply)
  • Other Material - fluorescent light bulbs, ballasts, cooking oil, propane tanks, oil, antifreeze (fees apply)
  • Batteries - lead acid and household batteries (fees may apply)

Construction Debris

The property owner and/or contractor shall dispose of all construction materials, remodeling, and/or demolition waste. This may be taken to the Brown County Transfer Station located at 3734 W. Mason Street, Green Bay (920-492-4950), or GFL Environmental at 1799 S Broadway St, De Pere (920-983-3341). Please call for current rates/hours.

Tires

By Brown County ordinance, tire retailers must accept used tires for each new tire sold. Any additional tires may be taken to the Brown County Transfer Station located at 3734 W. Mason Street, Green Bay. A nominal disposal fee will be charged. For more information please call 920-492-4950.
