About De Pere

De Pere is a growing city on the banks of the Fox River. Because the river flows through De Pere, we have not one, but two downtown areas providing opportunities for businesses to thrive. Our approximately 788 businesses employ over 15,000 employees, not just in our downtown areas, but throughout our city limits. As seen on the chart, the majority of businesses employ white-collar workers, followed by blue-collar and those in the service industry.

The Fox River also creates opportunities for industry and recreation, alike. Many people utilize the river for fishing and water sports, while businesses use it for transportation and tourism.

De Pere is within close proximity to multiple colleges and universities that feature programs in STEM, manufacturing, business management, and more.
