How long do appointments take?

Passport appointments involve gathering and reviewing your required paperwork. Most appointments take about 20 minutes, but the time may vary depending on the number of applicants in your group, the completeness of your documents, and the volume of other customers at City Hall.

What do I need to bring?

  • Certified copy of your birth certificate
  • Passport photo
  • Driver's license/photo ID
  • Check, cashier's check, or money order (for payment to the U.S. Department of State)

Both parents must appear when applying for a passport for a child under the age of 16.
