How do I request an absentee ballot?

Online

By mail    The completed form should be mailed to: City of De Pere Clerk's Office, 335 S. Broadway, De Pere WI 54115

If this is your first time requesting an absentee ballot, you must include a copy of your photo ID.  If you have requested a mailed absentee ballot in the past, your photo ID is already on file and you do not need to send another copy.  Indefinitely confined voters who request a mailed absentee ballot for all elections are exempt from the photo ID requirement.

Absentee ballots must be returned to the Clerk's office by 8:00 PM on Election Day.

How do I return my absentee ballot?

- A postage-paid return envelope is included with your ballot.

- Please note that the built-in drop box at City Hall will NOT be in use for the upcoming election.

- IMPORTANT: State law requires voters to personally mail or deliver their own absentee ballot, except where state or federal law explicitly authorizes an agent to act on behalf of a third party.  If you have questions about this exception, please contact the Clerk's office.

When does in-person absentee voting start?

For the Spring Election and Presidential Preference Primary:

Tuesday, March 19th - Friday March 29th at City Hall

Hours are 7:30am - 5:00pm, with the exception of Friday March 22nd which is 7:30am - 11:30am

Do I need my photo ID to vote absentee?

You WILL need a photo ID to vote in-person absentee, just like you do at the polls.  A list of acceptable types of photo ID is listed here.
