The City welcomes community events that bring residents together and enhance the vibrancy of our public spaces.  Any organized activity that uses City streets, parks, or public facilities - or that may impact traffic, public safety, or City services - requires a Special Event Application.  

Applications must be submitted at least 60 days in advance to allow for review by City departments.

You'll need a Special Event Application if your event:

  • Uses public spaces or streets
  • Brings together a large group of people
  • Includes tents, stages, or other temporary setups
  • Has food vendors or amplified music
  • Requires traffic control or public safety support

Questions about insurance for your event?

We're here to help make the process straightforward.  We strongly encourage you to share the requirements below with your insurance provider so they can prepare the correct documentation.  To host a special event, you'll need to provide:

  • Proof of general liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence (small or medium event) or $2,000,000 per occurrence (large event)
  • The City of De Pere listed as an additional insured for the purposes of your event
  • An Additional Insured Policy Endorsement, which must accompany your Certificate of Insurance
