What are the duties and qualifications of a poll worker?

Poll worker duties include setting up the polling place, registering and recording voters, issuing ballots and monitoring voting equipment, and accurately completing documentation on Election Day.  

Poll workers must be eligible to vote and a resident of Brown County.

Is training provided?

Yes! Poll workers are required to attend training prior to working an election.  Training sessions are typically scheduled about three weeks prior to each election, and you will be paid for your time.  Training sessions are recorded so that you can view them if you aren't able to attend in person.
