Dental Insurance
DENTAL INSURANCE
The City offers two plan options for dental insurance, a self-insured option and a fully insured option. Effective January 1, 2021 Delta Dental is the self-insured option. Dental Associates (CarePlus) is the fully insured option. Regular full-time and regular part-time employees are eligible to enroll in dental insurance coverage for themselves and their families.
How do I know which plan is better for me?
This will be a personal choice, but to help you in making that decision, we have put together a comparison sheet of both dental plans, which should assist you in picking the dental insurance plan that best fits your needs. Please note that with Delta Dental you can choose to see any provider you would like to; with Dental Associates, you will only have coverage if you see a Dental Associates provider.
