The Right Car Seat
The De Pere Health Department Car Seat Program hosts car seat installation clinics at De Pere Fire Department. This free service is available for all residents of the City of De Pere. Appointments are required. Please see our clinic schedule to make an appointment.
We will resume Car Seat Clinics starting in March 2022 for De Pere residents.
What to expect at a Car Seat Clinic
Your 30 minute appointment will include:
- Consultation from a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician
- Car seat inspection to ensure proper fit for your child
- Recall check to ensure your seat is safe for use
- Hands-on training to properly install your car seat in your vehicle
- Hands-on training to properly harness your child in the car seat
- Education on next steps, including when it's time for a new car seat or seat position

Please be sure to schedule one appointment per seat. So, if you have three car seats, schedule three appointments.
