Police, fire awards earned by Taylor, Hanson

Nine civic clubs within the City of De Pere honored the brave, skillful, and compassionate service of their public safety servants on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, during their annual "Beyond the Call & Outstanding Public Safety Member Recognition" banquet.

Among the 2023 award recipients was a police officer who helped bring a sense of justice and closure to a local family reeling from the tragic drug-related death. Also honored was a Fire Rescue staff member who has helped create and strengthen integral community partnerships and events for her department.

Congrats to Lea Taylor (Fire Rescue) and Detective Sergeant Aaron Hanson (Police). Click here for more info on the work that led to their well-deserved recognition: https://loom.ly/88QlGXY

City launches mobile, web app!

The City of De Pere is launching a new tool to help empower residents to report quality-of-life issues in their community and request government services. The application called De Pere Report It is available for all residents to download on any iOS or Android device. You can access the system from a desktop computer via the City of De Pere website at www.deperewi.gov/reportit.

The web portal for De Pere Report It can also be accessed on the City’s website homepage of www.deperewi.gov.

For City of De Pere residents who identify community repair or service request needs, the De Pere Report It app allows them to submit photos, location information, and request details directly to City of De Pere administrative staff members. In addition, the platform provides City of De Pere officials with a centralized system to manage issues – from creation to resolution — and engage with residents throughout the process.
