UPDATED TIME: Unveiling will be at 3 p.m.!

DE PERE – The City of De Pere is set to unveil what is believed to be the region’s first-ever outdoor fine art exhibit.

Artistic sculptures, photographs, benches, seasonal plants and more have been added to Nicolet Alley – which is located off of Main Avenue, passing between Nicky's Lionhead Restaurant and Gryo Kabobs/T. Alteration. The focus of these numerous art pieces revolves around the importance of the honey bee, as well as sustainability for our broader natural environment.

The public unveiling of this unique fine art exhibit will take place on Thursday, Sept. 5 from 3 to 7 p.m.

The City of De Pere’s artistic transformation of Nicolet Alley is the culminating efforts of local artists Shanna Koltz and Naomi Moes Jenkins.

The collaboration between Koltz and Moes Jenkins combines two-dimensional and three-dimensional mediums to create a thought-provoking passageway.

In honor of the public unveiling event on Sept. 5, adjacent businesses will be serving select menu items that evening feature honey. The official unveiling of the Nicolet Alley fine art exhibit will commence at 3 p.m., with De Pere Mayor Michael Walsh and artists Koltz and Moes Jenkins speaking to those in attendance. Also at the unveiling, attendees can speak with the artists directly to gain insight into Nicolet Alley’s artwork.
