De Pere names 5 finalists for City Manager position

The City of De Pere Common Council narrowed their recruitment pool to five finalists in their search for a new City Manager.  All five will be invited to participate in final interviews on Oct. 14 and 15.  The Common Council is scheduled to make a final selection after the conclusion of the interview process on Oct. 15. 

A group of 43 applicants was first reduced to nine semifinalists and then to five finalists.  The position is open because the current City Administrator, Larry Delo, is retiring in early January. 

The five finalists listed alphabetically are:

Kim Flom:  Assistant City Manager for the City of McKinney, Texas for the past four years; prior to that she worked as the Development Services Director for the City of De Pere, Wisconsin for four years.

Angela Gorall:  Deputy City Administrator for the City of Woodbury, Minnesota for the last six years; prior to that she worked as Village Administrator for the Village of Bellevue, Wisconsin for five years.

Alex Kaker:  Village Administrator for the Village of Suamico, Wisconsin for the past five years; prior to that he worked for the Upper Gwynedd Township for four years holding various titles moving into the Interim Township Manager role.

Jacob Meshke:  Deputy City Manager with the City of Brookings, South Dakota for the last two years, he also held the position of Assistant City Manager for two years as well as Assistant to the City Manager for approximately one year; prior to that he worked as the Assistant Village Manager for the Village of Bayside, Wisconsin for 2.5 years.

Nathan Thiel:  City Administrator for the City of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin for the past two years; prior to that worked as the Village Administrator for the Village of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin for four years.
