DE PERE – The City of De Pere is launching a new tool to help empower residents to report quality-of-life issues in their community and request government services. The application called De Pere Report It is available for all residents to download on any iOS or Android device. The system can also be accessed from desktop computers via the City of De Pere website at www.deperewi.gov/reportit.

The web portal for De Pere Report It can also be accessed on the City’s website homepage of www.deperewi.gov.

"We continuously aim to improve our City and its operations, and the De Pere Report It app provides an exciting new way to connect with our residents and increase civic engagement in our community. We look forward to the ways this tool will enhance the already-strong connection between the City of De Pere and its residents," said Mayor James Boyd.

For City of De Pere residents who identify community repair or service request needs, the De Pere Report It app allows them to submit photos, location information, and request details directly to City of De Pere staff. In addition, the platform provides City of De Pere staff with a centralized system to manage issues – from creation to resolution — and engage with residents throughout the process.

The software also enables duplicate detection so that if a resident begins to submit a request already in the system, it will promptly notify them and enable them to follow the existing request. This reduces duplicate requests and increases the efficiency of City of De Pere services.

The technology allows community members to report problems to their government leaders and view, comment on, and follow issues submitted by their neighbors. Residents can even create their own “watch areas” to receive notifications about all the reports in their community, enabling them to follow the progress of all service requests—not just the ones they submit.
