The City of De Pere offers a Memorial Tree and Bench program that provides an opportunity to remember a loved one, or honor someone you hold dear. A tree or bench makes a lovely gift or memorial and also contributes to the beauty and variety of the park landscape. A tree spreads its strength and beauty across the years, becoming a lasting recognition of remembrance. Trees will be planted either in the spring or fall of each year as weather permits, and depending on the species of the tree. A bench offers relaxation and a lasting memory for the donator. Benches require a 6-10 week lead time from the date of the initial order to final installation (depending on the season and weather). To order a tree, bench or swinging bench please complete the Memorial Tree and Bench order form and return it to the De Pere Park, Recreation and Forestry Department at 925 S. Sixth Street. If you have any questions, please contact Don Melichar at 920-339-8362, he will assist you with the process of selecting a tree or bench, and choosing a fitting park and location for your memorial.
