Prepared for Emergencies

Since 2002, The City of De Pere Health Department has engaged in training, planning, and exercising to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies. The health department collaborates with local, regional, and state partners to maintain and update the Public Health Emergency Plan (PHEP), train for emergency preparedness and response, and execute current plans when called upon.

Preparation Saves Lives: Six Domains of Preparedness

  1. Community Resilience: preparing for and recovering from emergencies
  2. Incident Management: coordinating an effective response
  3. Information Management: providing information to take action
  4. Countermeasures and Mitigation: getting medicine and supplies where needed
  5. Surge Management: expanding medical serves to handle large events
  6. Biosurveillance: investigating and identifying health threats
