Make a difference in the City of De Pere!

Looking to make a difference in the City of De Pere but need help reaching your goal? Look no further than the Community Service Grants! These grants provide groups and individuals with the financial support they need to reach their goals. 

Previous recipients of the Community Service Grant include:

  • N.E.W. Master Gardeners for the native garden at the Riverwalk
  • Hope’s House, a resource center for children who have suffered a loss
  • Lion’s Club, for the community garden in Trailside Park
  • Local church group who assembled “calming kits” to distribute to De Pere school district students
  • Eagle Scout projects such as creating tee boxes for disc golf course

Info for $600 grants

Information that you will need to provide includes:

  • A brief description of your goal/objective as well as when it should be met or accomplished
  • How the goal/objective will be achieved and what residents of De Pere will gain through this project.
  • An itemization of all anticipated expenses and how they will relate to the overall objective.
    • Cost estimates associated with the project should not exceed $600.

Deadlines and selection criteria

There are two waves of applications each year:

  • Winter deadline to apply is December 1.
  • Spring deadline to apply is June 1.

All grant applications should be submitted to the City Clerk’s office on or before the grant deadline.

The De Pere Common Council evaluates proposals and selects recipients at the 2nd Council Meeting of the month of award. The Council uses the following criteria to evaluate each proposal:

  • Contribution to public safety
  • Contribution to community awareness
  • Improvement to community infrastructure
  • Creativity of proposal
  • Enhancement of the aesthetic quality of the City
  • Contribution to City culture or overall sense of community
