The De Pere Police Department currently has three officers serving as Police School Liaison Officers.  There is one Police School Liaison Officer assigned to the East De Pere High School, and one to West De Pere High School.  The Unified School District of De Pere and West De Pere School District share the services of an Elementary School Police School Liaison Officer.

The Liaison Officer is responsible for providing police services within the school setting.  The Liaison Officer provides instruction on gang and drug resistance as well as a variety of other topics.  The Liaison Officer's also provide counseling and mentorship for students experiencing problems outside of the school setting.  They also attend school functions such as sporting events and dances to help chaperone events and provide any necessary assistance.

The Liaison Officers work in collaboration with the Unified District of De Pere and the West De Pere School District.  The Liaison Program represents the community's solid commitment towards the youth of the De Pere area.  Liaison Officers represent a proactive strategy designed to bring prevention and intervention into the schools.
