Dear Citizens of De Pere,

mayor boydFor the past 12 years it has been my honor and privilege to serve as Alderperson for District 1 in our beloved city. This past week I started in a new role as your Mayor. I am excited to have the opportunity to serve the residents of De Pere and I look forward to continuing the legacy set by Mayor Walsh and our outstanding city staff. I would like to thank the residents of De Pere for your commitment to following Governor Evers’ Stay at Home Order and putting a priority on the health and welfare of all its citizens, essential workers, and families. We, as a city, will face many challenges moving forward, but please be assured that the city staff, the Common Council, and myself, will work hard to ensure that services will continue to be delivered and residents of De Pere and local businesses will be our priority.

Along with our current challenges, I am confident that there are many exciting opportunities and celebrations in our future as well. I look forward to sharing those successes with all of you in the future. De Pere has always been, and will continue to be, a great place to live, work, and play!

And, finally, please know that communication is very important to me. When the opportunity again arises, I am eager to meet with citizens in-person and host listening sessions. Until then, there are many platforms I hope to utilize now, and in the future, to make myself available to our citizens for feedback. Whether that’s new methods through social media or hearing your feedback during our virtually-hosted Common Council meetings, I look forward to connecting with you and welcome any feedback, concerns and suggestions you may have to help De Pere continue to prosper and grow. Also, feel free to call or email me at any time with your thoughts:

Sincerely,

James Boyd
