A message from the De Pere Community Center

UPDATE: March 13, 2020

For The Health and Safety of our Patrons & Participants

Governor Evers has issued a public health emergency declaring a 30-day suspension of any events hosting 250 people or more. Therefore, the City of De Pere will be taking the following proactive measures to address the COVID-19 issue for high risk populations, rentals, and large group events/activities. IMPORTANT NOTE: This timeline may change.

  • We are encouraging all groups utilizing our facility who are in a “high risk population” for the virus to suspend facility use until further direction from the State.
  • If renters request to cancel a rental, we will refund/credit the request without a cancellation charge.
  • For current classes that are canceled, pro-rated refunds will be issued to your account. Please call the Community Center at 339-4097 if you prefer a different credit method.
  • The following City sponsored events have been canceled. Full refunds will be issued for events that are not re-scheduled:

We are asking those who visit our facility to practice the following recommendations provided by the CDC to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and other viruses:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick and stay at home when you are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
